Artist’s Statement

This piece explores the dynamic tension between nature's organic forms and an altered perception of light and energy. By isolating the intricate network of a tree’s branches against a stark, vibrant yellow field, I wanted to strip away the familiar camouflage of a traditional forest and expose its raw, skeletal architecture. The intense contrast between the textured, cool blues of the bark and the flat, piercing warmth of the background charges the composition with an almost electric vitality.

Through this subversion of natural color, the tree ceases to be a passive element of the landscape and becomes a conductor of light. The painting challenges the viewer to look past the conventional beauty of nature and instead experience the pulsing, erratic rhythm of growth, connection, and life force that binds the forest together.
